Exeter Chiefs – Player Sponsorship

During November, an exciting opportunity presented itself which was to become the player sponsor for Jonny Gray. Jonny is a Scotland international and joined Exeter Chiefs during the covid disrupted 2019/20 season but played a key role in helping the Chiefs lift both the Gallagher Premiership and Heineken Champions Cup titles. As a player sponsor, this gives Watches of Bath the opportunity to create new connections in Devon and join a new network of businesses.

WoB Sponsored Teams Update

Firstly, a reflection on Bristol City and Cardiff City who compete in the Championship. There were four rounds of matches with Cardiff defeating Preston North End away from home thanks to two goals in the 90+6 and 90+9 minutes of the game, mixed with a goalless draw against Stoke City and losses to West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City. Bristol City managed to accumulate a few more points with wins at home against Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesborough along with a goalless draw against Queens Park Rangers and a defeat to Southampton.

It was the men’s rugby teams though that stole the show as Bath Rugby hosted Bristol Bears at The Rec on a Friday night in the usual drizzle. This match was one that we had been looking forward to and we were very pleased to be joined by the winners of our balloon competition who joined us in our box for the match. The game was very tight throughout with both teams having the opportunity to push for victory, but it was Bath that came out on top 20 points to 19.
